Goddess Gayatri Devi is also known as Veda Mata as she is the mother of Hindu Sacred scriptures.  Gayatri Mantra is considered as the holiest of all mantras and the recitation of this mantra with proper initiation from a master will increase the mind power and bestows the eternal knowledge.   Idol of Mother Gayathri in this temple is magnificent and definitely makes the devotees to forget themselves.

Gayatri Devi Temples are very rear and this temple can be located in Yeshwanthpur.   Founder of this temple is His Holiness Shri Chidambara Dikshit.  Yaga Mantapa contains several idols of different deities and a big idol of Lord Shanmukha.  This temple also houses idols of other deities such as Shri Dhanvantari Mahavishnu, Shri Swarna Gowri Sameta Shri Agastyeshwara Swami, Anjaneya and also Panchamukhi Ganapathi.

Lord Dhanvantari is the incarnation of Mahavishnu who emerged during the Churning of Ocean of Milk by the Gods and Demons.  Lord is the god of medicines and depicted as physician of gods in Hindu Scriptures.

How to reach:

By Bus:  Catch any bus which goes to Yeshwanthpur from Majestic or K.R. Market and get down at “Metro” and go back 100 mts towards Mekri Circle.  On the left side in the signal under the flyover, we can see the road which goes to Gayathri Devi Temple.

By own vehicle: Reach Columbia Asia Hospital near Yeshwanthpur (Yeshwanthpur Metro) and take the same route as described above.
